Dear Customer,

When I founded ICP Solar in 1988, little did I know that we¹d put out

hundreds of thousands of solar chargers and panels into the world

marketplace, which would in turn lead to enormous, yet individually small,

contributions to the reduction of carbon missions, battery disposals and

other savings which help keep our environment safer.

While what we do at ICP Solar is somewhat common in our industry, our

attention to the details of quality and sustainability of our products, has

within it an important message which is often overlooked with it comes to

sustainability.

We all know about solar products, yet do we value their sustainability in

the environment into which we place them? Just as there are various

qualities of other products in our global marketplace, the same lies true

for solar chargers, lights, vents, charge controllers and monitoring

devices. Yet, when those products last only a year, and must be replaced due

to their inability to withstand the outdoor environments they are often

placed in, they are in fact contributing to landfill in substantive ways. So

while a consumer may save some money buying lower initial cost products than

Sunsei or Coleman solar products, their eventual investment will be larger,

and their contribution to saving the environment will be smaller.

It is for this reason that we pay so much attention to the materials used in

the construction of our products. From recycled plastics in our packaging to

more environmentally friendly inks on our inserts, every detail is

considered in how our products interact with their environments.

Sustainability is something which we breathe in our company each and every

day. It is a « mantra » of how we do business. I thank you for your trust in

us to bring to you superior solar solutions for your everyday living. And

may we all enjoy the sunshine for what it can bring us, free, clean energy

and trust that our actions will, by the sum of all of our individual

contributions, help give our children a cleaner world in which to live.
